Be a Part of the Eterno Ballet

Donna Bellina, of the the Retiree Connection at Yavapai College, is putting together an inter-generational ballet called “Eterno” that will be performed on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the Yavapai College Performance Hall. The performance will include an ensemble cast of 16 children, 16 retirees, and 8 teen dancers. The music portion of the ballet will be conducted by Roy Breiling, the director of the Yavapai College Symphony Orchestra.

Donna describes the ballet as:

a contemporary ballet about transformation, accepting your inner child, and honoring who you are today, all danced live to the Yavapai College Symphony Orchestra. An original score, an amazing cast, a day we will all remember. Eterno will take you back in time and bring you into the future on wings.

If you would like to be a part of this wonderful project, there is a casting call coming up on Saturday June 19, 2010 from 1-4PM at the Yavapai College Perfomance Hall. Donna needs women dancers age 55 and over. You don’t have to have a strong dance background to be considered! Just be able to move freely.
